-- If you believe this, Rotary might be a good fit for you. How to Learn More Being a Rotarian is about friendship, commitment to integrity and service. We welcome all interested in learning more about Rotary to join us at one of our weekly lunch meetings. Please contact our Membership Chair to arrange a lunch date or with questions regarding membership. You might also want to visit the Rotary District 5950 website serving clubs in the Western Minneapolis suburbs and Central Minnesota. What Will You Get Out of Rotary? Being a Rotarian creates fellowship with like minded business and professional leaders from our community. While the primary reason to be a Rotarian is a commitment to service, the relationships created benefit all Rotarians in many ways. Commitment to Integrity - (4 Way Test) Rotarian's live by this simple but important model: 1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to All Concerned? 3. Will it Build GOODWILL and Better Friendships? 4.Will it Be BENEFICIAL to All Concerned? Cost Commitment Dues: Dues are $595 Annually. (Invoiced semi-annually) Lunch is optional. Lunch is $10 per meeting when invoiced. Donations & Other Rotary Related Costs: - The Rotary Foundation; ($100 and up ~ annually) - Fundraiser Support: (Two primary fundraisers per year for Hopkins Rotary) - Hopkins Foundation: (Memorial gifts and support based on members preference) Fundraisers managed by the club include the Hopkins International Club Fruit Sale in the fall and the Rotary Taste West food and wine event In the spring. Time Commitment Attendance goals are reasonable, 60% for the meetings. We have happy hour about once per month in the Hopkins area. We also all work together for our fundraisers and service projects. Beyond meetings the time commitment depends on how involved you choose to be. Three or more hours a month is a great way to get involved. Overall it's not to much of a time commitment. The options are very flexible and designed to fit busy members lives. Most importantly your efforts help make Rotary's vision of service a reality. |
